This can be seen with Sonic with some details being simplified such as his eyes just being a pure black and his shoes being more rounded like his older counterpart along with lacking a buckle which the Classic design usually didn't have. The overall style is meant to be a mix of the Modern and Classic era designs. His design is inspired by the Sonic Adventure series' artwork, with a notable detail being the sharp highlights around his fur and dark shadows along with having peach eyelids and thicker eyelashes, which the current Sonic lacks. His outfit consists of a pair of white gloves, ankle socks, and red shoes with a white strap and red and white bottoms. He also has two back spines, which may often merge with his head spines in some artwork, along with a tail. As with most characters in the series, He is depicted in having a scrawny build and lanky, noodle-like limbs with large appendages. However, his eyebrows often scrunch into the middle to make the eye look like a pair along with the addition of eyelids and eyelashes. He is styled to have one large eye with two green irises (depicted as black or white). Sonic has a total of six spines on the back of his head but three are usually seen at one time. Sonic is an anthropomorphic blue hedgehog with peach patches on his stomach, arms, eyelids, inside of ears,and lower half of his head along with a black, bean-like nose.
